Recent Work

The evolution of these pieces began with my visual impressions of several artist residencies I have attended in recent years. Back in my Bay Area studio, I edit, transform, and distill these into more fully realized artworks on paper, canvas and aluminum. Often I add handwork to make each image unique. I am a story teller and each piece is informed by a narrative thread connecting my art works with my work in film and video.   Most importantly, I strive for an encounter between the viewer and the work: that moment when the most crucial – and refreshingly unpredictable – aspect of my practice takes place.
